The walk-in fridge is a refrigeration appliance which is preferred by many commercial food businesses because it provides excellent capacity and good access to the food products. There is an extensive range of size available when it comes to the walk-in fridge.
There are several different types of refrigeration systems which are used in the commercial walk-in fridge. You have to keep in mind the space and place where you are installing the fridge while choosing the refrigeration system.
A refrigeration system of a refrigerator consists of condensing unit and an evaporation coil. The condensing coil is often placed inside the walk-in refrigerator. The function of the compressor is to compressor the gas in to liquid. The liquid is further pumped through the condensing unit and there is a fan which blows the outside air through the coil. Then there is an expansion valve present in the evaporator coil which allows the liquid to expand back to the gas. This expansion of the liquid to gas is what causes the chilling. The heat always goes towards the cold and inside the walk-in fridge the air blows across the evaporation coil and lets the coil absorb heat from the inside. The gas is then allowed to exit through a large copper pipe to the condensing unit and the whole cycle starts again.
Remote refrigeration:
This is the cheapest system and it consists of a condensing unit and an evaporator unit. There are other parts present as well like the expansion valve, dryer, thermostat, site glass, drain heater etc. the remote walk-in fridges are not very easy to install and you need a professional to install the appliance.
Pre-assembled remote system:
The pre-assembled remote system is very similar to the remote refrigeration system but there is one difference. The difference is that they are shipped while being installed on either the condensing unit or the evaporator coil. They may or may not be as cheap as the remote refrigeration.
Standard top mount:
This system are the self-contained refrigeration system. They have all their parts inside one single cabinet. All of the parts like the copper lines and the refrigeration gases are installed completely.
Side mount refrigeration system:
They are also very similar to the standard top mount refrigeration system. The difference between the top mount and the side mount is that in the side mount system all of the elements are installed on one side of the wall panels except on the top. They also need a drain hose which should be connected to a drain nearby. One negative aspect of this system is that shelf space is lost to the evaporation unit which extends inside these appliances.
Saddle Mount Refrigeration System:
This system comes fully pre-assembled and it is designed to be mounted on the top of the wall panel. There should be slots cut in the panel on which walk-in fridges with this refrigeration system are being installed.
Conclusion:
In order to choose the refrigeration system which suits your remote freezer room units in the best way you should base your decision on whether you can allow the condensing unit to dump the heat inside the building or not. This will make your choice very simple.
